Thank you for visiting our website for Devon’s new and exciting
indoor climbing centre. It has been a long time coming. Three years
in fact, since we had the idea to build a climbing wall in a central
Devon location. Three hard years of market research, planning, learning
about starting a small business, and being surprised at how much we
already knew. It has been three years of as many disappointments as
achievements, but we have finally found the right building in the
right place with the right people to help us get things started.
Plans are going well for the wall to be open in Autumn 2008. A lot
needs to happen before that time. The building will be occupied until
March 2008, when we’ll finally have a chance to see how much
structural work is required before we can start the build.
A roof, new windows and doors, and the big and scary taking out the
floor all have to happen whilst we finalise our designs. If all goes
to programme without too many surprises, there should be indoor climbing
at Dart Rock just as the days start drawing in and the inevitable
rains come. |
